Company News New Appointments - John Bayliss Tru-Lon Printed Circuits are pleased to announce the appointment of John Bayliss as the companies Sales Manager, Johnh has over 20 years experience in the PCB industry and will help stimulate further growth with both existing and new customers. Rob Brown – General Manager commented, “John is a great addition to our Sales Team and he brings with him a wealth of industry experience which complements the rest of the team. The addition of John to our Sales Force will further enhance our ability to provide a quality service to our growing customer base.” May 06/05/08 EADS Astrium Master Suppliers Award Today, Tru-lon Printed Circuits were presented with the Master Suppliers Award from EADS Astrium in recognition of the company's outstanding performance. The presentation at Tru-lon's site in Royston Hertfordshire was made by EADS Astrium's Deputy Director of Operation UK - Paul Cressey and Stephen Crooks - UK Buyer (Pcb's, Substrates and Windings). The Master Suppliers Awards are based on a series of strict performance criteria including, Quality, Delivery, Competitiveness, Customer Support and Technical Ability. Excelling in these areas has enabled Tru-lon to achieve Master Supplier status. - In the time that Tru-lon have been working with Astrium Tru-lon have manufactured a diverse range of PCB's from fast turn-a-round FR4 prototypes, to Metal-backed RF boards, PCB's with embedded resistors and Fusion Bonded Multilayer PCB's. Fast turn-around capability
Tru-lon are pleased to offer to our customers both old and new, an
enhanced fast turn-around manufacturing service, including multilayer
PCBs up to 12 layers. Overseen by our Production Manager, Wayne
Cleverly, typical manufacturing turn-a-round times are between 24hrs
and 5 working days depending upon the quantity and complexity of the
PCB designs. Please contact us for further details, or to obtain an
immediate quotation, contact Billy Jones or Hassan Hudda. e-mail RFQ

Our on-time delivery record for year 2007 is 100%. Please put us to the challenge! We can accommodate all of your needs in house. 2007 Exhibitions European Microwave Week Exhibition, Munich, 8th-12th October Tru-lon will be attending the 2007 European Microwave Week Exhibition and Conference to the held at the Munich International Congress Centre, Munich 8th - 12th October 2007. We would be delighted to welcome both existing customers, and new enquiries on to our stand (number 619). Phil Firth (Technical Sales Engineer) and Tim Gee (Technical Manager) will be in attendance throughout the course of the exhibition and would be pleased to discuss any specific technology or manufacturing requirements. Please visit the organiser's web address www.eumweek.com , or Phil or Tim directly for further details. New purchases for 2007 Glenbrook Industries X-Ray Inspection machine Tru-lon are pleased to have taken delivery of a new real time X-ray system from Glenbrook Industries. The equipment was primarily purchased to enable the expedient inspection of drilled hole registration to inner layer copper patterns to ensure that the optimum parameters are achieved for each panel processed. This new found ability is already proving to pay dividends whilst helping to improve our manufacturing yields & capability. This is a particularly important point given the present trend towards the miniaturisation of PCB components and the subsequent influence upon the technology parameters required for board design and manufacture.
We can offer the use of our machine as a standalone service to our
friends & customers at competitive hourly charge rates. This
evaluation process can prove beneficial for locating faults upon
populated or bare PCBs or for inspecting beneath, or certifying the
fusing of BGA component balls or similar topical concerns. Please
contact Tim Gee or Rob Brown for further details.
Additional multilayer press Tru-lon have an envied reputation for on time deliveries including fast turn-a-round requirements for multilayer products. Tru-lon has purchased a third multilayer transfer press to help accommodate and further improve our multilayer throughput capability. Hollmuller developing line New Hollmuller (fine line) developing machine with PLC automated replenishment. Given the increasing trend towards the adoption of fine tracks and features to PCB designs, this new addition to our plant will aid our ability to produce finite features approaching the 0.050mm (0.002’¡É) mark whilst ensuring high manufacturing yields. Award Ceremony 2007 Tru-lon has again been nominated within the remit of the BAE Chairman's Award Scheme (for year 2007). Tru-lon has been nominated for our research, development and assistance with the manufacturing of Liquid Crystalline Polymers (LCP) for use as a multilayer PCB dielectric substrate. Tru-lon has previously been awarded a Silver, and 2 Bronze awards for work completed by the company and it's employees across a wide range of technology requirements. New Appointments - Phil Firth Tru-lon is pleased to welcome Phil Firth to the Sales and Engineering team. Phil has extensive knowledge of PCB manufacturing, cost estimating, technical and engineering functions and will initially, be assisting the company IT Department with the implementation of our new Softwire PCP MRP system. This dedicated new system will replace the existing Frontline/Prestim Omega software and is due to go "live" during the second half of 2007. There are many benefits to the new system which will enhance our ability to react expediently to quotation requests, and crucially, promote the automation of the pre-engineering functions. Long Term Service Award Tru-lon are pleased to announce the recognition of 20 years’ continuous service by Tim Gee, the company Technical Manager. Tim can be contacted regarding all matters Technical, or for additional assistance with any other PCB related topic or concern. Passive Elements for PCB Design Tru-Lon are pleased to offer the range of Ohmega Ply foils to our current manufacturing capability and product portfolio. Precision Nickel / Copper foils are available from 50 - 250 ohms per square and can be produced upon the circuit surface layers, or alternatively incorporated within internal layer designs up to 16 layers. RF applications can also be considered, and currently our capability is to produce resistors with a 100 Ohm + / - 10% value subject to contract review. Products operating within the 8 - 20 Ghz range have benefited from improved performance when compared to conventional component application. Rogers Mektron offer a range of materials that can be manufactured with the Ohmega ply foils attached (e.g RT6002, TMM laminates).
